Hertford Town Inclusive Team
Hertford Town FC and Bengeo Tigers Youth FC joined forces in July 2015 to start an inclusive football team for adults with learning disability. It began as a reward for the gardeners from Mudlarks who have improved the pitch and the grounds at the stadium. They train every Saturday morning at 11:15am and participate in Herts FA tournaments once per month.
We have 2 Level 2 qualified coaches. Teenagers who are volunteering as part of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme or the Football Futures scheme, help coach and take part in games to make sure every player gets brought in to the game. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether they are an adult with physical or learning disability or someone at school who always gets picked last and no-one passes the ball to, or a volunteer that wants to help.
