On the 29th July, Hertford Town FC will be travelling to neighbours, Cheshunt, for their annual Community Cup. This year the event is being hosted by Lanes New Homes and Estate Agents and promises to be a day of fun and football.
The tournament will see Cheshunt, Harlow Town and Hertford Town play in a round-robing tournament at Cheshunt’s ground (Theobalds Lane, Cheshunt) and runs from 11 – 5pm.
Bring the family along to watch great local football and to take part in football challenges and games. Marvel at the unbeaten Spurs Ladies team in an open training session, and cheer on our team mascots in a penalty shoot out competition. There will be something for all the family to enjoy including a fantastic raffle, live music, and great food and drink.
Between games, and around the ground, there will also be plenty of challenges, activities and spectacles for the whole family to enjoy. These include:
- Spurs Ladies open training session
- Mascot penalty shoot-out
- Football freestyler
- Speed cage
- 3G football zone
- Beat the goalie
- Food and drink
- Plus more to be confirmed!
This year, the Cheshunt FC Community Cup will be played in memory of Robbie Lea, a local boy who recently drowned at Lea Valley Park. The day will promote water safety and raise funds for a safety awareness educational campaign.
Visit Cheshunt FC for more information and to buy discounted online tickets in advance. 50% of the profits will be given to Lea Valley Park to support a water safety campaign.
