The penultimate game of the season saw The Blues travelling to Broxbourne Borough on Tuesday night. On what was a chillier than expected night, the fans saw Glenn Draper, Connor Scully and Matt Thomson getting their first goals of the season. With a further 2 goals from Tommy Wade and Ricky Light, all involved were thrilled with the 5 – 0 win. Following the game, word spread quite quickly that Cockfosters had only managed a draw against Edgware, meaning that The Blues have secured their second place in the league. What a fantastic first season for Gavin Kelsey and his team!! Click here for the match report, player stats and video.

The development team were due to play Oxhey Jets on Saturday at The Park. Unfortunately, Oxhey were unable to make the match and word has it that this will not be replayed. Even without playing this final game, Mason Todd has ended his season as the leading goal scorer for this league. Well done Mason!

The U13 EJA team were back in action this week when they played in their next league game on Thursday. In this home game against local rivals, Cheshunt, the boys were thrilled to win 3 – 0. They have a busy week coming up with a game on Wednesday, followed by a cup final on Sunday. Good luck boys!

While the U14 EJA team drew 1 – 1 against St Albans City on Sunday, they still had a successful week as they won the Herts Futsal County Cup on Saturday:

These boys are champions, having won their league and 2 county cups. Well done lads!

One for your diary. On bank holiday Monday (1st May) we will be hosting a charity match for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Gates will open at 2pm with the game starting at 3pm. One of the teams will be hosted by one of the Blues favourites, Tyler Hatherly. There will be face painting, raffles, games and a burger van amongst other things. The bar will also be open. So for a fun day, all in aid of a great cause, come on down to The Park.

Have a great week and COYB!!!
