While there was only one game a piece for each of our teams this week, the boys made sure each one counted and we got a full house of wins!
First up was the First Team when they faced Hoddesdon Town for the second cup game in a week on Tuesday. In what was a feisty local derby that saw Hoddesdon defender, Bradley Fraser seeing red, The Blues got their “cup revenge” and walked away the 2 – 0 winners. They will now face Berkhamsted in the next round of the Challenge Trophy at home on the 7th so start warming up your cheering voices and put the date in your calendar. For the match report, player stats and video, please see the match page.
Saturday saw another 3 points for the Development Team when they welcomed Hadley to The Park. It was an action packed game that ended in a 2 – 1 win for the boys. Well done to Stevie Tutalamo who scored both of our goals. The lads are certainly doing themselves proud and are sitting 13 points clear at the top of their league.
Next up to prove their nettle were the U13 EJAs on Sunday. They had an away match at Cheshunt. This is a local derby that can prove difficult. The team made it look easy today and walked away the 4 – 1 winners. The boys next game is at home against Cambridge City. This is a semi-final in the U13s Patron’s Cup so a big game for them. Why not put it in your calendar and come down, enjoy a bacon roll and cheer on the footballers of the future.
Also on Sunday, the U14 EJAs had a home game against Hemel Hempstead. The lads notched up another 3 points in their league with a great 4 – 2 win.
Finally, it was a long away game for Stevenage Ladies when they travelled to Lowestoft. This was the first game with Blues Goalkeeper, Reece Buck, as manager and a huge congratulations to him and his team for their 1 – 0 win.

Excitement is mounting as this Saturday will be our annual Fan’s Day. This is a day when the club thanks their fans for their loyal support with FREE ENTRY to the game. Let’s see if we can get an even bigger crowd than previous years. Bring your family, friends, colleagues, that lonely bloke from down the road and random strangers you pass on the way to the ground. Let’s show the people of Hertford what they have been missing by getting them down to The Park.
Have a great week and COYB!!!
