Following a relatively quiet festive period, it was all systems go for the Hertford teams this week.

On a weekend that saw teams higher up the pyramid taking part in the third round of the FA Cup, the First Team travelled to Wembley on Saturday. While not quite the FA Cup, The Blues battled hard within view of the Wembley Arch to try and progress up the league table. It was a hard fought match against 6th placed Wembley and a point was added to our tally following the 0 – 0 draw. For photos and match stats, please see the match page.

The gaffa summed it up best with the following tweet:

Great support again from the fans #Blues

Saturday also saw the Development Team getting into the action when they welcomed Harpenden Town to The Misty Park. After nearly a month of no competitive games, they were clearly missing scoring and finished the game with a resounding 8 – 0 win. For photos of the match, please click here.

On Sunday, the U14 EJA team travelled to Watford where they took on Watford Youth in the County Cup. The boys had a great result, winning 8 – 1 and will now be taking part in the semi-finals which will be played at The Park. Keep an eye on the events so you can come down and show your support for the team.

Last by certainly not least, Stevenage Ladies took on Norwich Ladies at The Park on Sunday. In a game that saw Gemma Croucher making her debut, the ladies won 1 – 0. May this success continue long into 2017.
