Saturday saw second place taking on third place when The Blues welcomed Cockfosters to the The Park. It was a wet and gloomy day for the team that saw our first loss in 12 games. The boys battled hard in the conditions but it was Cockfosters that managed to find the back of the net twice. While the weather may have been miserable, the fans were in fine spirit and 238 (minus a few from Cockfosters) soggy fans cheered loudly for the team that they love.

The Gaffa, summed up the day with the following tweet:

@gavin_kelsey: Not our day today, great change to put that right on Tuesday night

For the video and match stats, please see the match page. The team face a big match on Tuesday in what will be a top of the table clash with London Colney. Whatever you were planning to do on Tuesday night, cancel it and get yourself to The Park at 19:45. The atmosphere should be fantastic so come down and add your voice to the noise.

It was 2 rounds of CockFosters on Saturday as our development team travelled to their ground in the league. The boss was left a very happy man after goals from Goals from Mason Todd, Steve Tutalamo, Tom Cowell and Harry Crook secured a 4 – 0 win.  The result means our development team is sitting 8 points clear at the top of their league. This is certainly a team to watch so keep an eye out for their next game.

Sunday saw the U13 EJA team taking on Cheshunt in the last 16 of the county cup. It proved to be a game of two halves. While the Hertford boys dominated the first half, Cheshunt played some brilliant football in the second and deserved the 1 – 3 win. Good luck in the next round boys.

The U14 EJAs travelled to St Albans today where they were playing in the league. The boys were 2 – 0 down in the first half and came out fighting in the second. They played well and the 3 – 3 draw was a fair result. Well done boys!

It was an important weekend for our associate club Stevenage Ladies who were playing in the Quarter Finals of the County Cup. This was an away game for the girls against Evergreen Eagles in Abbots Langley. The girls are getting better with each match they play which showed in their 6 – 0 win! They will be playing their semi final at home to Watford on the 15th January so make sure you keep your diary free. 1. Nigel Moores says:

On Saturday Cockfosters had two shots and scored two goals. That is football sometimes. But on Tuesday night we will be back for London Colney – and win. Come on you Blues.
