On Saturday, The Blues drew 2-2 with Ryman North outfit, Heybridge Swifts to complete the gruelling pre-season preparations. Gavin and his backroom staff have been busy drilling the squad over the summer to ensure everyone is ready for what we all hope will be a very successful season ahead. See the match page for photos from yesterday.

The pre-season has gone well and the team have been tested by playing higher league opposition at home against Waltham Abbey, Brentwood Town and Heybridge Swifts with challenging visits to London Lions, Sawbridgeworth and FA Vase opponents, Clapton FC.

Our 1st competitive game of the new season takes place on Tuesday night when we welcome local rivals, Welwyn Garden City in a Charity Shield fixture. We then look forward to Saturday’s road trip to Suffolk to play Haverhill Rovers in the FA Cup. There are just a few seats available if you’d like to join us so snap them up at the bar with Audrey on Tuesday night.

This season, we have added a team to the U-25 Development league which replaces the Spartan Reserves league from last year. The first three fixtures will be against St.Mags (H), Oxhey Jets (A) & Hoddesdon (H). The team will play their home games at The Park and their fixtures are now available here.

Meanwhile, our All-Inclusive football programme keeps going from strength to strength with even more players training on Saturday mornings than ever before and we’ve already hosted a tournament at Hertingfordbury Park this month.

There are many other things happening around the ground at the moment so keep an eye out for posters in the clubhouse advertising new events.

A huge congratulations to the Hertford Town U13s EJA team who are bringing home the trophy from their International Competition in Denmark after winning all their games. Well done boys!
