On Saturday, while the 1st team were sweating their way to a 4-4 draw at London Lions, the award-winning inclusive football team trained in blistering conditions at The Park.
Fun was had by all before they made their way back to the clubhouse for their very first end-of-season awards ceremony.
DJ Explosion (Jack) and Martin were on hand to provide the rhythm as the yummy smells of the authentic Greek BBQ wafted around the ground.
The event was very well attended and there were surprise appearances from Cllr Peter Ruffles and 1st team manager, Gavin Kelsey who arrived to hand out some very special awards to some very special people.
The list of winners were as follows:
• Bravest Player – Cully, runner-up Craig.
• Volunteer Of The Year – Chris Sycamore, runners-up Shelagh and Lewis.
• Golden Boot – Jamie, runners-up Jack and Chris.
After just one short year, the players and coaches have all learned a lot about themselves and the inclusive sessions are getting better and better.
Thanks to everyone who has helped out over the course of the season!
The next inclusive tournament takes place at The Park at 10am on Friday morning and the next training session will be at 11:15am on Saturday as usual.
