Hertford Town’s army of volunteer ground-staff have made the February edition of “The Groundsman” with a really nice article highlighting the effort that goes into the preparation of the surfaces that the teams enjoy here at Hertingfordbury Park.

The challenges faced to get regular games on for the HTFC 1st team, Hoddesdon Owls Ladies, Hertford Town EJA youth and our inclusive football on Saturdays plus the constant battles with flooding from the River Lea and River Mimram which flow past two borders of the stadium added to the extreme weather the whole country has endured recently and all on a limited budget bring everyone together to work that little bit harder which builds on the close bonds we all have as volunteers, friends and as a community.

Volunteer Groundsman Of The Year – Loucas Xenophontos, Col Mason, Brian Jennings and the Mudlarks crew should all be very proud of what’s been achieved at The Park and the fact that a national publication produced by the prestigious “Institute Of Groundsman” have chosen to focus on our little club speaks volumes about what we’re doing here.
