Off the back of a hard-earned point at Hoddy last Monday, The Blues took to the road again on Saturday to play rock-bottom Harefield Utd.

With games falling foul of the weather all over the country, Harefield’s groundstaff deserve an enormous amount of credit for getting this fixture on and providing a decent surface on which to play although they may have regretted their diligence at 6pm on Saturday night.
Hertford Town were without the suspended Jack Friend, injured Charlie Smith and rested Leigh Rose but the rest of the squad didn’t miss them as they put nine goals past the depleted Harefield side. Hat-tricks for both Louis Rose and Jordan Watson saw them both rise up the SSML’s goalscoring charts adding to goals from skipper, Sam Ruff and James Ewington (2) following on from Utd’s early opener.

Next up for The Blues is yet another away game at Sun Sports in the Premier Division next Saturday before we make another attempt to play Woodford Town at The Park in the League Challenge Trophy next Tuesday night.
