The last game of any season is always a good time to reflect on the ups and downs we’ve all witnessed since August but his game was extra special as the home fixture against Stotfold was selected for the annual Fans’ Day celebration.
We’ve seen the 1st full season under the stewardship of our gaffa, Paul Halsey which produced many fantastic moments including the first cup silverware in living memory (for some!) and a respectable progression in the league eventually finishing 11th.
The Herts Charity Shield was proudly carried around the clubhouse post-match and many took the opportunity to take some photos with the prize itself.
The game itself didn’t go to plan as Stotfold hadn’t read the script and The Blues lost 1-3 in front of a healthy gate of 372.
A mascot penalty shootout took place at half-time between our mascot, Stan The Stag and The Herts Mercury’s mascot, Henry The Newshound officiated by our lady mayor, Chantal Geall. It finished all square as they left the pitch for selfies with their adoring public.

Following the match The Bad Men played a live set in front of the main stand before everyone moved inside to watch the end of season awards being presented.
Thankyou to everyone who attended and we hope you all enjoyed the event.
