Following on from last week’s spectacular charity fundraiser with Bengeo Tigers which witnessed a league record of 559 hungry Hertfordians through the turnstiles, The Blues returned to league action this Saturday with the small matter of the St. Mags local derby at The Park.

Things didn’t exactly go to plan on the pitch as Hertford Town went down 4-0 to ex-Blue Ant Anstead’s quartet of goals but off the field our fans still enjoyed the day.

Our three vice-presidents – Tony Parrott, John Staines & Ron Penn (who have over 200 years of supporting football between them) posed for photos in front of Tony’s Magic Emporium (club shop) pre-match personifying their dedication and loyalty to the cause. They are collectively the backbone of the club and people like this are the reason that we and many other grassroots clubs keep going season after season. Well done chaps!

Following the game, Jordan Watson was named Player Of The Month for March as voted for by you, the fans. Congratulations to “Peanut” and keep up the good work!

POTM March 2015
