An amazing team effort on Tuesday night pushed The Blues into the last eight of the Herts Senior Cup after an epic game vs Hitchin at The Park. Hitchin play a full two leagues higher in the pyramid than our lads but you wouldn’t have known that from the 1st half display, despite going down to ten men after just 25 minutes in. Hertford Town went into the interval 2-0 ahead after a deft flick for his 1st goal for the club from centre-back Charlie Smith and an opportunistic strike from Jordan Watson after the Hitchin ‘keeper had spilled a free-kick on the edge of the box. Hitchin struck back for 2-1 and equalised on 89mins before Leigh Rose buried a shot from the edge of the box in front of a noisy Stable End to ensure progress into the next round against Borehamwood at home on December 2nd.

Next up for The Blues is away to Stotfold on Saturday, 15th November at 3pm.

See the match page for the pictures, stats and line-up.

Come on you Blues!
