Hertford Town progressed in the Challenge Trophy on Tuesday night in a 6-0 thrashing of SSML Division 1 side Amersham Town. The visitors started well against a Blues side giving opportunities to some of our fringe players and also those returning from injuries incurred early in pre-season. Defenders Charlie Smith and Georgie Laffar returned after absences due to injury with skipper, Tommy Wade, Louis Rose & Sam Ruff rested on the bench. Midfield playmaker Charlie Smith had taken a knock in the 3-1 win against Harefield and was given the night off to recover.

Reece Hewitt and TJ were given the creative midfield berths and shone for the home side whilst Ross Clemo came in for Adam Andreou.

See the match page for the pictures, stats and line-up.

Next up for The Blues is home to Wembley on Saturday, 27th September – 3pm kick off.

Come on you Blues!
