A nice, sunny day greeted the 380 fans who attended Sunday’s exhibition match at The Park between Hertford North End and the Spurs Legends. The new Mayor of Hertford and many of the town’s councillors were also present.

The Legends team included many ex-pros with international caps to their names such as Ramon Vega, David Howells, Justin Edinburgh, Stuart Nethercott, Garry Brooke and Paul McVeigh.
The Northenders ran out 4-2 winners at the final whistle in an exciting game with four Blues players (Summers, Wade, Charles & Tomkins) gracing the home side. The Spurs goals came from Ramon Vega & Paul McVeigh whilst Hertford North End replied via Ricky Smart, Mark Summers & Steve Summers (2).

Many local kids enjoyed their chance to be mascots and ballboys/girls, we hope they all had a lot of fun.

The unclaimed raffle prizes were number 187 for the signed Spurs shirt and 194 for the signed matchball.
Please present your winning ticket to a club official on a matchday to collect your prize within the next three weeks.

We hope you all enjoyed the day and sincerely hope that you’ll be returning to The Park in future to support The Blues this season.

A massive thanks to Jamie Lancaster who organised this match and to all the volunteers that helped out on the day to make this event such a success.
